Privacy Policy

limitpad.com (“limitpad”, “we”, “us”) is a free word and character counter. This policy explains what happens to your information when you use the site. The short version: we never see, send or store the text you type or paste. All counting happens on your device.

1. Your text

• Everything you type or paste into limitpad is processed by code running in your own browser.
• We don’t send your text to our servers or anyone else’s, and we don’t store it anywhere except on your own device (see section 2).
• We have no way to read, recover or share your text.

2. What’s saved on your device

limitpad uses your browser’s local storage (not cookies) to remember:

• Autosave: your current text, so it’s still there if you close the tab by accident.
• Settings: your chosen preset, theme, font size and similar preferences.

This information stays on your device and is never sent to us. You can delete it at any time with the Clear button, or by clearing your browser’s site data for limitpad.com. Autosave can be turned off in Settings.

3. Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand how the site is used, for example which pages are visited, which countries visitors come from, what kind of device they use and how fast pages load. It doesn’t use cookies, doesn’t track you across websites and doesn’t build a profile of you. We only see totals, never individual visitors. Learn more in Cloudflare’s privacy policy.

4. Hosting and security

limitpad is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical information such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks. We don’t use this information to identify you.

5. What we don’t do

• We don’t offer accounts and don’t ask for your name, email or any other personal details.
• We don’t sell or share personal information.
• We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13. limitpad is a general-audience tool and isn’t directed at children.

6. Emailing us

If you email hello@limitpad.com, we’ll use your email address and message only to reply to you, and won’t add you to any mailing list.

7. Your rights

Because we don’t collect personal information beyond what’s described above, there’s usually nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Your text and settings live only on your device, and you control them. If you have a question or request about your privacy, email hello@limitpad.com.

8. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we’ll update the “Last updated” date at the top. Significant changes, such as adding advertising, will be explained on this page before they take effect.
